- 2009: Rebecca Onie chosen as Commencement Speaker for the Boston University Sargent School of Public Health
- 2008: Rebecca Onie selected as a Fellow in Ashoka's United States program. Ashoka Fellows are leading social entrepreneurs who are recognized to have innovative solutions and the potential to change patterns across society.
